The KIMONO SHIPIBO is a creation of unity between two indigenous communities. The front panels are made by artisans on the Sumba Island in Indonesia. The back of the kimono is hand embroidered by artisans from the Shipibos community in Peru. Embodying the ancient traditions of both, this sacred piece is hand dyed. Since day one I loved my kimono so much I bought the second one... I love wearing it both in the privacy of my home, beside the pool drinking the afternoon tea with friends and for happenings around, where everyone with no execption notice it and ask me about the story behind it... ...and it's always amazing to explain people about the ayahuasca ceremonies of the Shipibo tribe and their gatherings during the embroidery process... Such a magical garment, Thanks NR!
